History of Trevor Robinsons Training
He started at Secondary school in 1973 learning Judo from his Chinese maths teacher Mr Yung (a brown belt) this was to be to start of a very long and continuing journey. He was graded to blue belt in Judo, before leaving school. After a small Gap in training he began "Shukokai" Karate in 1977 and trained in Bury (Lancashire) at The Rising sun Club headed by Tommy Kwan 3rd Dan (at the time now 7th Dan), Trevor reached 1st Dan Black with the Rising sun Club in April 1983, The Bujinkan. Trevor First encountered bujinkan Ninjutsu in 1979 at a Karate tournament, he saw a Book entitled The Invisible Assassins By Andrew Adams, This book was an inspiration to a young man looking for the ultimate Martial art, In 1983 Trevor training solo joined the American
Shadows of Iga Organisation, In the same year Trevor joined The Bujinkan
Ishizuka Society Organised by Brian McCarthy (Dublin now the BBD), In 1987 Trevor had the first opportunity to train with Soke Masakki Hatsumi at the First UK TAI KAI in London (organised By Shihan Peter King) The Manchester club moved to Portland street via Master Toddys Mu-Tai Boxing Club In 1988 Trevor Moved to Barrow in Furness, Cumbria and opened his own club. (In the Barrow Judo Club). At theTai Kai l in October 1995 Trevor passed his 5th dan test with Soke Hatsumi, and Became a "Shidoshi" Later the next day he asked Soke for a Bu-go (martial name) and he was given gave the name Geki Ryu it means "play" or "Drama" Dragon,
,Trevor thanks Vladimir and Valerie his Wife For all of their support may they continue to prosper. 2006 Trevor played with the Bujinkan again (but still Trained in systema), untill March 2008 .
